The High School HyperStream Club attended a fantastic day of tech workshops at ISU. Some of the breakout sessions included app design and development, cyberdefense in the smartgrid, computer engineering, malware, digital forensics, virtual reality applications, datacenter, smart house and solar energy.
Max Kayser, Collin Kramer, Justin Roepsch and Hannah Van Houten participated in this year's CyberDefense team under the tutelage of Doug Kayser. They learned a ton about setting up a network and email system, as well as preventing security threats and defending their system. Nathan Anderson, William Dyer, Karen Overman and Tyler Reher, worked on Video Game Design using the Alice Program. They also competed against other teams to create a video game that promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) for middle school students. Way to go!!
